I wanted a simple pattern that could showcase large prints, without sacrificing visual appeal. And most importantly, a simple pattern WITHOUT any half-square triangles or flying geese to worry about, only right angles. After several sketches and discarded designs, a simple pattern emerged. Varying the colors to mimic a fat quarter bundle, adding a little sashing and border, and, well, the It's All Right (Angles) quilt was born!

This pattern is perfect to showcase holiday prints, such as the Halloween prints shown on the cover, or can be used to bust those scraps. It is block based, making large 16" blocks. Arranged into four rows of three with sashing and a border, the finished quilt is a good throw size. Add or take away blocks as needed to make your quilt the size you want, and best of all, have fun with it!

Every year in Minnesota we watch for the flocks of migrating birds to come back, one of the first true signs of spring after what can be a long winter. The flocks of geese come in noisy waves, winging their way Due North. This quilt takes inspiration from their northward journey, indicating spring will soon be here. This pattern is written for three quilt sizes, a baby size consisting of 16 blocks, finishing at 48" square, a throw size consisting of 30 blocks, finishing at 60" x 72", and a bed size quilt consisting of 42 blocks, finishing at 72" x 84". Blocks are 12" x 12" finished. This pattern is for the confident beginner and lends itself really well to a scrap buster pattern. It is also fat quarter friendly. Using pre-cut 2½" fabric rolls is also a great way to change the block colors to mix and match for a unique and fun design.
