Custom Quilting with Bernina Q-Matic - 3 day hands on workshop with Amy

Limited to 6 students - each participant has their own Bernina long arm with Q-Matic to work on all 3 days!

Course Objective:

1. Create a modern straight-line quilting pattern on Q-matic, sized to their quilt.

2. Create a custom block design on Q-matic, sized to their quilt blocks.

3. Place block designs and stitch them out precisely where they want them, even on

imperfect quilt blocks.

4. Create continuous, wrap-around borders, sized to and placed precisely on any quilt.

Course Content:

-Resizing and rotating designs

-Aligning designs

-Masking and trimming

-Using markers and boundaries to place designs

-Connecting and un-connecting designs

-Choosing border and border corner designs that work well together

-Ensuring a border is continuous down the length of a quilt

Previous experience needed:

Students should be familiar with the Q-series sewhead, the Q-matic screen, and loading

quilts on a frame. Familiarity with stitching out edge-to-edge designs would be helpful.

Registration fee includes fabrics, batting, backing, thread and supplies.  Come to really learn how to use Bernina Q-Matic.  Lunch provided all 3 days.
