Join us for a fun and creative session using BERNINA Embroidery Software V9! In this class, we’ll take a charming, Scandinavian/Northern Midwest folk-art teapot design and learn how to digitize it specifically for stitching on paper.
We will start by utilizing V9's auto-digitizing tools to effortlessly trace the bold, flat colors of our artwork into foundational shapes. However, stitching on card stock presents a unique challenge—too many needle penetrations in one spot and your paper turns into a leaky tea strainer! To fix this, we will dive into essential manual editing techniques. You'll learn how to take those auto-digitized shapes and tweak them for paper by eliminating underlay, lightening stitch density, adjusting pull compensation, and lengthening stitches to keep your card stock perfectly intact.
By the end of the class, you’ll have a beautifully digitized, heritage-inspired teapot ready to stitch directly onto greeting cards, gift tags, or framed paper art. Come learn how to brew up some beautiful paper embroidery!
