Discover how to create classic cross stitch with the precision and flexibility of BERNINA Embroidery Software 9. This class introduces the Cross Stitch application, showing how to launch it, set up your grid and fabric count, and plan a design that fits your hoop and project.

You’ll learn how to place individual stitches, fill areas, change colors, and adjust density so your stitched designs look crisp on fabric. Along the way, you’ll see how to save and send your cross stitch creations back into V9 for embroidery, giving you a smooth path from on‑screen chart to stitched masterpiece.

Special Software Note:

  • This class is open to students with BERNINA’s V9 DesignerPlus software, or prior versions that contain the Cross Stitch Application.
  • Remember to bring your laptop with the software fully installed.  Test ALL software functions, not just opening the program. Don't forget your mouse, mouse pad, and computer power cord.
  • Action Required: You must open and fully test your software at home before arriving to class. This is critical because software support will not be available in the classroom, and there is no time in class to install or update the software.
  • Any technical difficulties with software installation or functionality need to be resolved in advance.
  • Taking the time now to verify everything works properly will save you frustration later and help us dive straight into the exciting curriculum we have planned.
  • Bring a notepad and pen/pencil.
