Suzie and I just got back, and I must say this fall market was one of the best. We are so excited with all the new things that are coming into to shop this winter and spring for your enjoyment.
Fabrics are always a highlight – we have lots of new collections of both cottons and batiks.
While I cannot name them all, be assured we have 3 to 4 NEW complete collections coming in each month. Maywood Studios, Wilmington Prints, Marcus, Andover, Robert Kaufmann, Benartex, Henry Glass, Shannon, Stof, Northcott, Camelot, Hoffmann, Studio E, and the list goes on! We have covered the areas our customers love the most.
Moda is a mainstay in the shop and we have selected lots of new things from Sweetwater, Kansas Troubles, Sherri & Chelsi, Stacy Iest Hsu, Me & My Sister and Bunny Hill.
One designer that we ordered a lot of fabrics from is Jen Kingwell Designs.
We loved her line of Behind the Scenes. They feature a plethora of fabrics in neutral grays to charcoals, great on their own and even better for backgrounds.
Add her Just a Speck collection of tossed dots on assorted colors and pair both of these groups up with Lollies. If you are like me and love scrappy, these bolts feature 8 different prints all the way across the 46 inch selvage.
We also picked up boxed kits from Jen for this quilt! I cannot wait for it to arrive!
Little House on the Prairie…who didn’t/doesn’t love this classic and timeless series of books and TV series.
We are going deep with these fabrics and samples as it is a Minnesota legend and we have the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum just a skip and a hop from us in Spring Valley Minnesota.
Old fashioned calicos and licensed background prints, we have an idea for a wonderful sample as well as a trunk show and some sort of PNQS old fashioned Schoolhouse Gala!
To go along with this we are going to offer (due to many of your requests) a small quilt group.
New projects/patterns/tips/techniques will be offered monthly. Session fees will include both the pattern and kit. We will offer 2 colorways each month, one will be more old fashioned, either civil war, Little House fabrics or 30’s and the other colorway will be modern, brights or batiks. Little quilts that you can get done and quilted for a quicker finish and great for all those areas in your home for a little something or to give as gifts.
Quiltworx, oh me oh my!
A new batik line, Lakeshore and cotton print line called Wildflowers.
Lots of new patterns and the latest Quiltster, a great new program to audition fabrics and print a picture for fail proof color placement!
A new beginners class 102, featuring a bit of piecing a bit of easy applique and then an optional “hand look” quilting by machine. This is a great class for anyone!
I am very excited about a new primitive line of fabrics coming in New Aged Muslin and we will be having a block of the month using these fabrics in two stunning colorways!
One of our most popular classes has been Machine Embroidery in the Hoop. My friend Amilee now has a new book with SMALL projects and designs for the smaller 5 X 7 hoops! Both edge to edge quilting and applique in the hoop.
My mind is reeling….
Many, many new collections with as many new patterns for quilts, table runners, fat quarter projets, bags, a new mystery quilt, machine embroidery, and of course the Quiltmatic coming for the Q24 long arm!!!
Below is the stack of things ordered to come in…..
I fear this post is getting too long… stay tuned as we work through the new fabrics, publications and notions as they come in….we have sew much more to share with you

Sorry to bother you but I just cannot seem to find the weekly mystery (Sunday Afternoon) weekly instructions so I can print them off. I ordered the kit from the online store.
