Limited to 6 students - each participant has their own Bernina long arm to work on both days!
Course Objective:
- To Learn skills and demonstrate confidence and competency in the application of free motion and ruler work using Bernina Basic Ruler Set.
- Complete one sample quilt
Course Content:
- Quilt preparation - design ideas, border layout, use of marking tools, when to mark
- Intro to free motion - meander, meander w/loops, coil, loop, wishbone, circles, swirls, pebbles and feathers.
- Intro to ruler work:
- Rules for using rulers
- Straight lines - piano keys, cross hatch
- Curved lines - clam shells, circles, curves
Make the sample quilt
- Baste
- Mark Borders
- How to align for top border
- Mark main area
- Practice several star designs
- Practice quilting
- Lay out designs and quilt

Continue quilting through the end of the day learning
Registration fee will include pre printed quilt fabric, Bernina basic set of rulers, batting, thread, supplies and backing for each participants sample quilt and lunch both days
