In this class, you’ll learn the “how and why” behind tiling scenes: stabilizing your fabric, stitching individual tiles, trimming, and joining panels so your circles actually meet in the middle.

We’ll focus on accurate placement, neat seams, and strategies for stitching a few tiles in class that you can later grow into a full wall hanging. It’s geometry with a needle and thread—because who says you can’t have your orange peel and piece it too?

Supply list is below and a 20% is available for any necessary supplies after you have registered for class.

No prior embroidery experience required, though basic knowledge of machine operation is helpful. Don't forget to bring your enthusiasm!

You will need to bring:

• BERNINA Embroidery machine and module, loaded with a straight stitch plate.  Machine should be oiled before coming to class. Bring also your 5.5mm or 9mm stitch plate.
• Recommended: Gold embroidery bobbin case loaded with embroidery weight bobbin thread. You will also need a separate bobbin loaded with thread that will provide a stark contrast to black stabilizer.
• Bernina Large Oval or Maxi Hoop, along with hoop template
• Embroidery Gold Needle, size 75/11
• Presser Foot 26; consider also Foot 37, 57, 97, or 10 for combining your tiles.
• Thread Snips
