Mason and I volunteered to assist in whipping up some pillowcases with the LeRoy Wide Awake 4-H club. It was so much fun, and I think it's so important to teach the younger folks to sew these days. The pictures speak for themselves. Smiles all around! Well, ok, smiles at the end after the laser-focused concentration faces. :)
If you get a chance to teach a "little" to sew, I hope you will jump at it. They aren't learning it in school anymore in most areas. A pillowcase is the perfect project because it is quick, simple, forgiving, and they can use it right away! It's sure to be a precious memory for you both.
