Can you believe that Thanksgiving week is already here?   They say that time flies when you are having fun and I have been having so much fun these past few months with all the events, classes and activities that have been happening at Pine Needles and with my family!  This week I have been reflecting on all the things that I can be thankful for during this past year, and I thought that I would share them with you!

First, I am thankful for my family.  I missed out on attending the retreat this year with Pine Needles because it happened to be on the same weekend as Homecoming at Oklahoma State, where my daughter is attending.  We had a great time visiting Oklahoma for the weekend and spent the weekend cheering on the Cowboys!  I'm hoping to attend the retreat next year so I can spend some time quilting with my work family and all of you too!  I am also thankful for Thanksgiving Break so my family is all together again under the same roof for a whole week!

I am also very thankful for Pine Needles.  Marcia, Suzie and everyone else at Pine Needles have given me the opportunity to work in what I would call my Dream Job!  You know what they say, "If you work at something you love, it's not really work!"  I do truly enjoy all my time spent at Pine Needles, whether I am teaching a class, out on a delivery setting up a new longarm or ringing up a sale!

Next, I am very thankful for the laser on the new Bernina 790 Pro!  I am currently working on all of the applique dots on the Quiltworx Carnival Flower technique of the month and having the laser has been a complete game changer!  I can see exactly where my needle is going to catch the applique fabric before it makes a stitch!!  Unbelievable!!

I hope that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family.  If you are out and about doing some shopping after the turkey, I hope you'll stop in to see us on Black Friday or Small Business Saturday at Pine Needles where we have some amazing deals happening to help you with your Christmas shopping list!!

Happy Thanksgiving,

Kendra
